About Caryn Rousseau

ROUSSEAU, CARYN is a news and multimedia reporter at The Associated Press bureau in Chicago, where she covers entertainment and the environment as well as contributes video and audio stories. Rousseau is a native of Chicago and attended the University of Missouri-Columbia, where she earned bachelor's degrees in news editorial journalism and political science. She joined The Associated Press in 2001 in the Little Rock, AR, bureau before becoming Midwest correspondent for The AP's former youth-oriented multimedia service, ASAP, in 2005 based in Kansas City, MO. Rousseau joined the Chicago AP staff in 2007 and has reported from ten states, including coverage of Hurricane Katrina, for the news wire service. She enjoys running, yoga and theater and loves volunteering as a writing coach for Chicago high school girls at the Goodman Theatre's Cindy Bandle Young Critics Circle.
