About Hana Baba
Hana Baba is reporter and co-host of CrossCurrents—the daily evening newsmagazine of KALW Public Radio 91.7FM in San Francisco, the oldest FM station west of the Mississippi. A founding member of KALW’s news department, Hana conducts interviews, reports and writes on ethnic communities, poverty, education, health, culture, religion, and the arts. Her work appears nationally on NPR, and PRI’s “The World.” A Sudanese-American, Hana occasionally reports from Sudan, and is fluent in Arabic. She’s a wife and mom, loves folklore, prefers tea over coffee, and is the voice of the San Francisco Museum of Modern Art’s audio tour.
