About Jerome Weeks

WEEKS, JEROME is the arts producer-reporter for KERA, Dallas-Fort Worth’s NPR-PBS affiliate. He writes reviews and features for radio and interviews artists for a weekly TV show, Think. This material appears, along with web-only content, on KERA's Art & Seek website. A professional critic for more than two decades, Weeks was the book columnist for The Dallas Morning News and its theater critic before that. Weeks earned a bachelor's in literature from the University of Detroit; a master's in literature from the University of Connecticut and pursued doctoral studies at the University of Texas at Austin before turning to newspaper journalism as an entertainment reporter for the Houston Post. He attended Columbia University’s graduate journalism program on an arts fellowship and blogs as book/daddy for Artsjournal.com. He is married to an actress-teacher and their daughter is a visual artist.
