About Jason Klein
KLEIN, JASON is the Assistant Visuals Editor for the Wisconsin State Journal, a 95,000-circulation daily newspaper based out of Madison. Responsibilities focus on creating informational graphics for both print and the web, as well as illustration and occasionally video. Jason was raised in rural Wisconsin and graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts specializing in graphic design from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. When first hired as a news artist, he was the youngest person in his newsroom, and twelve years later – and by no means the youngest anymore — he continues to enjoy exploring journalism through visual techniques. Jason’s interests include anything art-related and fringe winter sports such as curling (it is Wisconsin, after all).
