About Jon Zilkha

ZILKHA, JON is the deputy editor of the Today program, BBC Radio's flagship news and current affairs program in the UK, which has an audience of more than 6.5 million listeners. Before that, he was the editor of the afternoon Drive program on BBC Radio's live news and sport network, and of its mid-morning phone-in. Zilkha studied German and History at Edinburgh University and started his career as a newspaper reporter in his home city of London. He worked as a political correspondent on a regional newspaper before joining the BBC in 1994. He enjoys film, reading, eating out and many sports.
