About Katy Newton

NEWTON, KATY is a multimedia producer and co-founder of 49th Parallel Productions. Newton oversees the story development process throughout the 49th Parallel Production’s projects, and assists in layout and design. She also serves as the lead video editor for the company. During production, she functions as videographer and reporter. Newton holds a bachelor's in Cinema (emphasis in documentary film) from San Francisco State University. She has worked as a freelance casting director, casting real people for film and TV.
