About Leyla Boulton
Leyla Boulton is currently in charge of integrating web and print at the Financial Times, after running the general news output of FT.com. As the Assistant World News Editor, she has also driven the integration between the web and print operations of an integrated World Desk. She was born in New York City but has lived around the world since childhood. In between working as a foreign correspondent for the Financial Times in Russia and Turkey, she was the Financial Times global environmental writer. She started her journalistic career at Reuters as a graduate trainee, working as a reporter in Paris and then Brussels. She is married to a journalist and has a daughter Alexandra, 13, and a son, Max, 9. Leyla enjoys travelling, walking in the countryside, theatre, cinema, and making things with her children.
