WORDEN, MELISSA is the multimedia producer for HeraldTribune.com in Sarasota, FL. She began her online news career in 2000 as a content developer for USATODAY.com, where she worked in the Community, Life, News and Travel sections. As online producer at Roanoke.com, she worked on two major multimedia projects, "An Unlikely Refuge” and "Going Down the Crooked Road," which garnered several industry awards, including a 2006 NAA Digital Edge award and a 2006 EPpy Award finalist nod.
