About Meghan Hoyer
HOYER, MEGHAN spent nearly five years covering city government before becoming the urban enterprise reporter at The Virginian-Pilot in January 2008. She writes mainly about housing and development issues, with an emphasis on computer-assisted reporting. Hoyer grew up outside of Hartford, CT, graduated from Northwestern University in 1998, and worked at the Fort Wayne Journal Gazette and The Louisville Courier-Journal before arriving in Norfolk, VA, in 2003. She is currently working toward a Master of Fine Arts degree in creative nonfiction writing from Old Dominion University.
