About Anne Brennan
BRENNAN, ANNE is the assistant managing editor of digital media for the Cape Cod Times, a 50,000-circulation daily newspaper in Hyannis, MA, that covers Cape Cod, Martha's Vineyard and Nantucket. Her responsibilities include planning and developing content for the various Cape Cod Media Group websites and building audience. Brennan was born and raised in California, with a detour to Hawaii for five years, and moved to Massachusetts in the 1980s. She is a graduate of San Jose State University in San Jose, CA, with a degree in journalism. Her first job was with the Oakland Raiders football team as a publicist. She then worked as a reporter for the Meredith Sun Newspapers in Campbell, Los Altos and Santa Clara, CA. She joined the Cape Cod Times as a reporter in 1986 and after stints as a bureau chief and special projects team leader, became an assistant metro editor in 2000. She was named assistant managing editor for news and projects in 2004 and took on her new position in January. In her spare time – what little there is of it – Brennan enjoys sewing everything from dress clothes to costumes, she scores and officiates at swim meets, attends anime conventions with her daughters and is an avid consumer of all things political.
