About Adam Jones

JONES, ADAM is senior companies reporter for the Financial Times. At age 18 Jones worked as a reporter for a year at the Southern Evening Echo in his native Southampton. He then obtained a bachelor’s in English Language and Literature from the University of Oxford, working for the Echo during holidays. He was then a graduate trainee at the Sunday Times in London, before joining the Times as a business reporter, eventually becoming the New York-based business correspondent. From there he joined the Financial Times, where he has been consumer industries correspondent, Paris correspondent and online business education editor. He has just been made a senior companies reporter, leading the FT's morning coverage of UK corporate news - a job that offers an opportunity to use multimedia storytelling skills in a core FT beat.
