About Abbie Swanson

ABBIE FENTRESS SWANSON is a freelance student reporter for KALW 91.7 FM in San Francisco, and the editor and publisher of dirtypop, an independent magazine about women and LBGTQ people working in music, art and pop culture. Prior to her radio and magazine work, Swanson worked in book publishing and as a labor reporter in New York City. She interned on the News Desk at The Patriot Ledger in Boston, and has traveled to Egypt, Qatar and India on reporting trips.
