About Aimee Allison
ALLISON, AIMEE is the Bay Area radio host and producer of the daily KPFA Morning Show and is building a local media organization called OaklandSeen.com. In addition, Aimee hosts Comcast Newsmakers, a short-form politics and community program airing on CNN Headline News regional broadcasts. Her radio talk show covers a wide range of issues – from the economy at home to military conflict abroad, and she features unlikely heroes who bring new ideas and connections to solve problems. Recently, Aimee hosted national live specials for Pacifica Radio, Link TV, and Clear Channel’s Green 960 on a variety of topics. Her live coverage of the historic Winter Soldier Iraq Veterans testimony earned her Project Censored top award in 2008. She is the co-author of “Army of None: Strategies to Counter Military Recruitment, End War, and Build a Better World” (Seven Stories Press, 2007), and holds a BA in history and MA in education from Stanford University.
