About Amy Senk

Amy Senk's avatar image SENK, AMY publishes the daily online newspaper Corona del Mar Today, which has more than 1,000 daily readers. She manages all aspects of the business including: reporting, photography, editing, advertising sales and marketing the publication, which was founded in 2009 and serves a community of about 6,000 homes. Corona del Mar Today articles also appear in local print publications, including the Orange County Register and in the Daily Pilot. Senk is a native of Missouri and graduated with a degree in journalism from the University of Missouri. Her first newspaper job was at the Kansas City Times, where she covered general assignments. She continued to work for the Kansas City Star before moving to California and becoming a police reporter at the Contra Costa Times. In the late 1990s, she retired to raise a family but later began freelancing for several magazines and corporate clients in Orange County, where she moved in 2000. Senk enjoys spending time with her husband and two children, 12 and 8 years old. She is the social chair of the Mizzou Alumni Association’s Orange County Chapter, and she spends time volunteering at her children’s two schools. She enjoys reading, collecting sea glass, cooking with her family and collecting wine.
