About Andrea Alexander

ALEXANDER, ANDREA covers one of the largest municipalities in Northern New Jersey for The (Bergen) Record, a 160,000-circulation newspaper. She is responsible for covering local government and education and also writes about the environment and sustainability issues. Alexander is part of a group of mobile journalists who work from the road and are responsible for filing stories for the newspaper website, taking pictures and shooting video. She has been a reporter for 12 years and has worked at several newspapers around New Jersey. Alexander has also worked at Congressional Quarterly in Washington, D.C. covering energy and the environment on Capitol Hill. When she is not at work, she loves to bake, read and spend time at the Jersey shore.
