About Andrea Brown

Andrea Brown is a metro reporter and weekly columnist at The Gazette, a 96,000-circulation newspaper in Colorado Springs. The Gazette's broad readership base includes evangelicals, ranchers, techies, soldiers, hikers, eccentrics and everyday folks --- which makes for plenty of pickings for Brown's "Everybody's Got a Story" column. She also covers breaking news, events and regional features. Her first journalism job was a 15-year stint at her hometown Indiana newspaper, The Evansville Press. Before that she worked at a state mental hospital, where she met her salesman husband. She enjoys falling asleep during movies, shopping junkets with her teenage daughter and hanging out with her three sons. Rumor has it she's had the same AOL e-mail address for 14 years.
