About Anna Johnson


JOHNSON, ANNA is an editor and reporter with The Associated Press based in Cairo, Egypt. She is a supervisor on at the agency's Middle East Regional Desk and has travels on assignment throughout the region including Iraq, Lebanon, Libya and the United Arab Emirates. Anna is a native of Chicago and graduated with a degree in journalism from the University of Missouri. She has a master's degree from Northwestern University's Medill School of Journalism. Her first job was a reporter with the Daily Herald, a suburban Chicago newspaper. Before moving to Egypt, she worked as a reporter at the AP's Chicago bureau. She enjoys traveling, yoga and soccer and recently started taking tennis lessons in Cairo.
