About Alan Rappeport
RAPPEPORT, ALAN is a staff writer at CFO.com, the website of The Economist Group's corporate finance magazine. He writes daily news stories online and also contributes to the 450,000-circulation print publication. Previously he worked at The Economist in London, where he was a Marjorie Deane fellow and spent five months writing for the finance and economics section. While in London he also spent three months as an intern at the Financial Times, writing and editing on the world news desk and FT.com. Earlier he worked as a freelance journalist in Asia and a staff writer at The Press of Atlantic City. His freelance work has been published in The New York Times, The Washington Post, Newsday and The Atlanta Journal-Constitution, among other places. He has master's degrees from the London School of Economics and the Columbia University Graduate School of Journalism, and is a 2001 graduate of Emory University.
