About Bobbi Bowman
Bobbi Bowman is the membership/diversity director of the ASNE. Bobbi began her career at The Washington Post as a suburban reporter and became an assistant city editor. She has also worked at the Detroit Free Press, USA TODAY and as the managing editor of the Observer-Dispatch, in Utica, NY. She writes frequently on covering the New America for the Poynter Institute and Maynard Institute websites. She is a student of World War II and the 8th Air Force. On June 6, 2009, she will be on Omaha Beach with the heroes for the 65th anniversary of D-Day.
