About Bruce Mclean
MCLEAN, BRUCE is the digital media manager for VenturaCountyStar.com. He began his career in journalism as a reporter for The Ventura County Star and moved to the web site as a content producer in 2001. He began the site's move to multimedia the following year by successfully begging and pleading with the site director for the money to purchase a video camera. He's a graduate of the Multimedia Reporting and Convergence Workshop at UC Berkeley and the Brooks Photo Institute Platypus Workshop. He has overseen the training and direction of reporters involved with the Star's multimedia training program.
