About Crystal Cranmore
CRANMORE, CRYSTAL is a web features editor for CBSPhilly.com, which is the website for KYW-TV and CBS owned radio stations in Philadelphia, the nation’s 4th largest market. Cranmore’s responsibilities include monitoring all pages of CBSPhilly.com, including updating news and feature content on the homepage. She works with assignment editors to break down the day’s top stories and writes them up for the website, often merging the stories with information from reporters and using social media to keep the audience informed. Cranmore’s duties also include digitizing and editing videos and photos, creating features content including photo galleries and guides to the city’s top attractions and using social media to engage the audience. She also shoots and produces original content for the website. Before joining CBS Philly, Cranmore was a researcher for the CBS Evening News in Washington, DC and a business reporter for The Gazette, a weekly community newspaper serving Maryland. In 2008, Cranmore received the White House Correspondents’ Association Scholarship for success in academics and journalism. Cranmore graduated with a Bachelor’s degree in journalism from Howard University in Washington, DC.
