About Christina Hughes Babb
HUGHES BABB, CHRISTINA is editor at Advocate magazines, publishers of five magazines in the Dallas, TX area. Her responsibilities include assigning and writing arts, entertainment, news, and human interest stories for the Advocate's multiple print publications, and writing/managing two daily blogs. She has recently taken responsibility for overseeing multimedia projects including weekly podcasts, video news packages, and social media efforts. Her first journalism job was at The Met, a small independent newspaper that was bought out and shut down by a large media group a few weeks after she was promoted to managing editor. Since, she’s written/edited for myriad publications, and did a short stint in public relations, before landing at the Advocate in 2008. She is a movie lover and an obsessive runner who is training for her fourth marathon.
