Multimedia and Technology Training At the UC Berkeley Graduate School of Journalism
TAKAHASHI, COREY is a freelance journalist with roots in magazines, newspapers, and public radio. He attended the Knight Digital Media Center's May 2009 "Multimedia Reporting and Convergence Workshop" and hopes to apply its lessons to new and non-traditional forms of narrative journalism. Takahashi has contributed feature stories to national and international outlets, including NPR, PRI, APM, CBC, The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, and the "Best Music Writing" anthology series. Takahashi is also a published photographer who is learning digital-video production. He was a staffer at New York Public Radio, Newsday, Entertainment Weekly, Vibe, and a founding editor at the 1990s hip-hop magazine, Blaze. Takahashi is based in Los Angeles. He has done extensive cultural reporting in New York City and New Orleans, and he has filed features from international stops, including Venice, Mumbai, and Phnom Penh.
