About Demorris Lee

LEE, DEMORRIS A. is a graduate of North Carolina Central University in Durham, NC. He started his journalism career at the Montgomery Herald, a small North Carolina weekly, as a sport reporter. Demorris then moved to the News and Observer in Raleigh, NC. where he worked as a sports writer. While at the News and Observer, he moved to the news side and covered everything from courts, to city hall and in 2004 Demorris spent time embedded with an U.S. Army unit in Iraq. Demorris is currently a general assignment reporter at the St. Petersburg Times in Florida.
