About Dave Kellogg
KELLOGG, DAVE is the city editor at the Monterey County Herald, a 28,000-circulation, seven-day-a-week newspaper that covers Monterey County on the California central coast. His responsibilities include overseeing a staff of nine reporters, and planning coverage for local features and business sections. Kellogg is a native of the San Francisco Bay Area and graduated with a degree in journalism from San Jose State University. His first newspaper job was in Palo Alto, CA where he worked as a sports correspondent for the Peninsula Times Tribune. Kellogg joined the Herald in 2001 as the sports editor. In 2008 he was promoted to city editor. He lives in Pebble Beach and enjoys walks there sans golf clubs.
