About Doug Morino

Doug Morino's avatar image MORINO, DOUGLAS is a reporter for the Daily Breeze, a 70,000-circulation newspaper located in the South Bay region of Los Angeles County. He primarily covers local government and public affairs, but also focuses on breaking news, profiles and general assignment stories, along with covering the occasional crime spree and murder trial. His work also appears in the Daily Breeze's sister publications, the Los Angeles Daily News, the Long Beach Press-Telegram and the Beach Reporter. A Los Angeles-area native, Morino is a 2008 graduate of San Francisco State University, where he earned degrees in journalism and international relations. His first reporting gig was for the Palos Verdes Peninsula News, a weekly newspaper covering his hometown. He enjoys traveling, aviation and surfing.
