About Deborah Petersen

Her team launched, and oversees, the Bay Area News iPad App. As coordinator of Social Media for the San Francisco Bay Area’s largest news group, she develops strategies for its use. Facebook cites her columnist fan page www.facebook.com/Deb as an example for journalists. A native of Farmington, CT and graduate of the University of Connecticut, she worked at The Hartford Courant and Northeast magazine before becoming smitten with the West. Her work has also been published in River Teeth and Neiman Notable Narratives. She has been a therapist, bicycled across America, and lived in a cloud forest. One of her plays was read on Cape Cod, where she spends her free time. Her passions include the desert, wine, food, hiking, travel, and swimming. Facebook is a walk away from her Palo Alto home she shares with her writer husband.
