About Elisabeth Ponsot
is a multimedia producer and videographer at the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette. Her responsibilities include editing multimedia content for post-gazette.com and creating promotional segments for PGTV, a news channel that runs across the state of Pennsylvania. Ponsot oversees social media presence and video for Pipeline, a sister site run by the Post-Gazette which covers all aspects of the Marcellus Shale natural gas boom. Originally from Queens, NY, Ponsot graduated from Colby College in 2010. During her college tenure, Ponsot worked for the Colby Echo, where she held the positions of news editor and editor in chief. Ponsot has worked as a research assistant at Duke University’s DeWitt Center for Media & Democracy and as a reporter for the Queens Tribune newspaper in New York City. In her spare time, she enjoys cooking, blogging and traveling. She chronicled her last backpacking trip at www.74days.com.
