About Elizabeth Kramer
Elizabeth Kramer has been the Arts and Humanities Reporter at Louisville Pubic Media in Kentucky since November 2007 where she has produced stories originating from throughout the region. Many have focused on the influence of funding and policies on regional arts groups and how the arts impact other areas including health care, education and religion. She previously served as the managing editor and arts and special projects editor of the Louisville Eccentric Observer, an alternative newsweekly. Before returning to her hometown of Louisville, Kramer worked at WMUB in Oxford, Ohio, and lived in New York City, where she regularly contributed reports to WFUV and earned her graduate degree in journalism from Columbia University. Kramer also worked in international humanitarian development and relief in Africa during much of the 1990s.
