About Eric Ulken

ULKEN, ERIC is editor for interactive technology at latimes.com. He is responsible for developing new ways of collecting, organizing and presenting news and information through the use of database and mapping tools, as well as other technologies. Ulken was previously the site's managing editor for news. He joined the Times in 2004 as a weekend news producer. He has worked for newspaper Web sites his entire career including the Clarion-Ledger, NOLA.com, the New Orleans Times-Picayune site, and the Columbus Dispatch. The New Orleans native attended the University of Missouri School of Journalism on a national merit scholarship, earning a Bachelor of Journalism.
