About Eugenia Chien

CHIEN, EUGENIA is the co-founder and editor at Muni Diaries, an award-winning storytelling website about public transportation in the San Francisco Bay Area. Muni Diaries was voted Best Local Blog by the readers of the San Francisco Bay Guardian in 2009. Chien’s responsibilities span across the operation of the whole site, from soliciting stories, writing headlines, training student reporters, running social media for the site, to planning Muni Diaries’ spoken word series and events. Chien had been an editor at New America Media (formerly Pacific News Service) and most recently at Yahoo! Inc. When she’s not in front of the laptop, she enjoys running, reading, and eating weird foods.
