LISA FAUST is online editor for shreveporttimes.com, the online news product for The (Shreveport, LA) Times. She first joined The Times as an education writer in 1997 and assumed her current position in October 2000. She also has been a capitol correspondent for Gannett News Service and a Russian language interrogator for the National Guard in Baton Rouge, LA. , Faust recently was named The Times Manager of the Year (2001) and won first place for Best Web site, Louisiana Press Association. Faust is a member of the Online Newspaper Association and the National Federation of Press Women. She has a Bachelor's degree in mass communications from Louisiana State University and has taken postgraduate courses at the university in international politics. In addition, she has completed a Russian foreign language course at the Defense Language Institute in Monterey, CA and the Army Intelligence Interrogator Course in Fort Huachuca, AZ.
