About Andrew Finlayson
ANDREW FINLAYSON was the news director of KTVU Channel 2 in the San Francisco Bay Area from 1999 to January of 2003. Prior to being appointed news director, he was the associate news director, producer, and reporter for the station which the March 2003 American Journalism Review described as "one of the most successful stations in the country and one of the most serious." He has produced news reports from China, Hong Kong, Philippines, South Korea, Russia, Germany, and Great Britain as well as from across the United States. He wrote business reports distributed nationwide on the CBS Radio Station News Service from 1992-1996. Prior to joining KTVU, Finlayson was a producer and news editor at KCBS AM San Francisco and is a graduate of San Francisco State University. He is the author of "Questions That Work," which has been translated into Arabic and Portuguese. He is currently at work on another book.
