About Margie Freivogel

FREIVOGEL, MARGIE is currently working on starting a new online news publication in St. Louis, MO. She worked for 34 years at the St. Louis Post-Dispatch as a reporter and editor, taking a buyout in 2005 from her position as Sunday editor. In the Post-Dispatch Washington bureau, she covered women in politics and family issues as well as the environment and the White House. She also shared a job with her husband, William Freivogel. She is a past president of Journalism and Women Symposium, a national organization for women in journalism, and has taught journalism at Webster University. Freivogel graduated from Stanford University.
