About Grant Barrett
BARRETT, GRANT is the engagement editor at voiceofsandiego.org, a nonprofit news outfit focused on issues of civic and social interest. He's also co-host of a nationwide public radio program about language, “A Way with Words”, for which he co-manages its social media, website, and distribution. Barrett first worked in radio and newspapers in 1988, graduated with a degree in French from Columbia University in 2001, and has worked at length in lexicography and information technology. He's written for the New York Times, the Malaysia Star and other publications and has compiled two dictionaries of his own.
