About Gwen Florio

Gwen Florio is the city editor at the Missoulian, a 30,000-circulation newspaper that covers western Montana. Florio is a Delaware native and graduated with a degree in English from the University of Delaware. She first started covering western issues as a Denver-based national correspondent for the Philadelphia Inquirer in the 1990s. She also was a political reporter for the Rocky Mountain News in Denver, and covered national and foreign issues for the Denver Post, including stints in Afghanistan and Iraq. She enjoys hiking and camping and, with near-complete lack of success, fly-fishing.
