About Timothy Griggs

TIMOTHY GRIGGS is executive news editor at the (Wilmington, NC) Morning Star where he supervises editing and production of the paper's daily news sections, visual presentation of the paper and online content. Griggs joined the Morning Star in 1999 as features copy editor/page designer before becoming assistant features editor, and then redesign coordinator/presentation editor where he coordinated the web conversion and the Morning Star's redesign. Among his honors are awards for newspaper design and presentation and feature section design by the North Carolina Press Association. Griggs has a Bachelor's degree in communication studies with an emphasis in journalism from Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.
