About Gretchen Weber
WEBER, GRETCHEN is the associate producer for Climate Watch, a multi-platform series from KQED Public Broadcasting that explores how climate change is affecting California. Her responsibilities include developing multimedia content and blogging on the Climate Watch Web site, managing the program's social media outreach efforts, and producing radio features, which air on KQED's statewide news service, The California Report. In her past life, Weber led wilderness expeditions in Australia and Alaska as an adventure travel guide, freelanced for The Boston Globe, and was laid off by three dot-coms in two years. She grew up in a small city north of Boston and still can't decide which coast is home. Weber holds a bachelor’s in anthropology from Yale University and a master’s in journalism and mass communication from NYU.
