About Tiffany Harness

HARNESS, TIFFANY is the weekend and Africa editor for the foreign section of The Washington Post. Her responsibilities include editing stories for the Sunday and Monday editions from correspondents in the Post’s bureaus around the world. She also assists two correspondents in Africa with longer-term planning. She is the section’s web liaison, an evolving position that keeps her in frequent contact with her online counterparts. Harness is a Kansas native who graduated with a degree in journalism from the University of Kansas but pays no attention to basketball. Her first newspaper job was at The Prague Post in the Czech Republic, where she was a copy editor and production manager. She later worked at the Dallas Morning News and joined The Post in 2001. She enjoys the company of her family and friends, and researches human trafficking issues for her continuing coursework.
