About Jason Sandford

SANDFORD, JASON is the multimedia editor at the Asheville Citizen-Times, a 58,000-circulation daily newspaper that covers western North Carolina. A reporter-turned-editor, he works closely with the newspaper's online department to develop Web content, and oversees the photography staff. Sandford grew up in Asheville and graduated with a journalism degree from the University of North Carolina-Chapel Hill. He has worked for newspapers in Elizabethtown and Elizabeth City, NC, as well as Florence, SC. He interned as a USA Today "loaner" and spent two years following soldiers as a reporter/photographer for European Stars & Stripes newspaper. He enjoys swimming at the local gym, blogging, experimenting with toy cameras and listening to live bluegrass music.
