About Judy Lin

LIN, JUDY is a statehouse reporter with The Sacramento Bee. She covers the state legislature, elections and laws impacting Californians. Her current beat is the California budget. Prior to joining the Bee, she was the city hall reporter at the Detroit News from 2004-2005. Lin began her journalism career as an intern at the Associated Press, working in the San Diego, Los Angeles and Pittsburgh bureaus. She graduated from the University of Southern California with bachelor's degrees in journalism and history. She is currently co-president of the Sacramento chapter of the Asian American Journalists Association. Her hobbies include softball, running, biking, chick flicks and she very much enjoys playing Rock Band.
