About Julie Simon

SIMON, JULIE is the graphics and design editor at the Seattle Post-Intelligencer, a 130,000-circulation newspaper and website serving Western Washington. Julie joined the P-I in 1997 as a features page designer and has been supervising the graphics and design team for the past five years. She works closely with her staff of 15 visual journalists to find and develop fresh, innovative approaches to presenting the news. With a degree in Studio Art from the University of Vermont, Julie started her career at the Burlington Free Press. She enjoys exploring the beautiful Pacific Northwest, as well as hiking, running, skiing and volunteering.
