About Josh Stephenson
Josh Stephenson is the video editor at the Durango Herald covering southwest Colorado. A native of New Mexico, he graduated in 1996 from Fort Lewis College in Durango. After a pair of internships and some time at the Auburn Citizen in upstate New York, he served as a staff photographer at the Albuquerque Journal, first in their Santa Fe bureau and later in Albuquerque, totaling about 5 years. Stephenson left the paper in 2004, moving to Santiago, Chile. After working as a freelance photographer in Chile, Argentina, Bolivia and Peru for a year, he briefly returned to work at the Albuquerque Journal before going to freelance in Mexico City. He re-located with his wife Katie Burford and their son to Durango in 2007. The couple welcomed their second child on September 17 of 2008.
