About Jessica Stites

STITES, JESSICA is associate editor of Ms. Magazine, a quarterly U.S. feminist magazine founded by Gloria Steinem in 1972 and now published by the Feminist Majority Foundation. In addition to general editorial duties, Jessica is responsible for fact-checking, front-of-book content and all web content. Before coming to Ms., she worked at the Rockridge Institute, a now-defunct progressive think-tank headed by linguist George Lakoff that analyzed liberal and conservative “framing” of issues. Before that, she received a B.A. in Linguistic Anthropology from Brown University. Her writing has been published in The Advocate, Alternet, Jezebel and Wiretap.
