WRIGHT, JULIE is managing editor at the Anchorage Daily News, a McClatchy news company with a 64,000 daily circulation newspaper and a Web site that draws more than 10 million page views and nearly a million unique visitors a month. Wright is a native of Kansas City, MO, and graduated with degrees in journalism and political science from the University of Missouri, Columbia. Her first newspaper job was in Jackson, TN, where she worked as a political reporter and then the editorial page editor for The Jackson Sun. Later she worked as a political reporter and editor at The Wichita Eagle and as an editor at the Star Tribune in Minneapolis. She became ME in Anchorage in January 2006. Her interests include international travel, reading, beading and quilting.
