About Kevin Graman
GRAMAN, KEVIN covers social services and cultural affairs for The Spokesman-Review, the 90,000-circulation daily newspaper in Spokane, WA. His reporting has exposed deficiencies at the Spokane Veterans Affairs Medical Center and racial discrimination in a central Washington school district. Before returning to writing, Graman was news editor at The Spokesman-Review, where he has worked since 1987. He also was an editor or reporter at The Salt Lake Tribune, The Albuquerque Tribune, the Hollywood (Fla.) Sun-Tattler and The Yakima (WA) Herald-Republic. In 1982-83, Graman lived in the Basque region of northern Spain, where he taught English as a second Language. He has a degree in journalism from Southern Illinois University-Carbondale.
