About Kris Gibson

Gibson, Kristopher is a recent UC Berkeley graduate who now serves as kdmcBerkeley’s program assistant. Originally hailing from the Sierra Nevada foothills and Sierra College, he juggled the demands of full-time employment with the weight of a full course load, student government, and the founding of Sierra College’s newspaper, the Sierra Independent Press. Since his arrival at Berkeley, he has busied himself with advertising sales at the Daily Californian, has tutored some of Cal’s finest student-athletes. He feels that social and digital-media storytelling play an ever-increasing role in how information is disseminated to the public (and in the classroom), and is ecstatic about the opportunity to broaden his own horizons with such knowledge. Gibson hopes to become a history professor so that he can continue to learn, grow, teach, and contribute to a more informed society. Contact: gibson@berkeley.edu
