About Kim Nowacki

NOWACKI, KIM is the arts and entertainment reporter for the Yakima Herald-Republic newspaper, a nearly 40,000-circulation daily in Yakima, WA, which sits about two and a half hours southeast of Seattle. In April 2005, the Herald-Republic launched a new Friday A&E tab named On Magazine. Nowacki was on the team that designed this publication from scratch and she takes great pride in On’s success in establishing itself as the primary source for local arts and entertainment news and listings in Central Washington. Nowacki is also in charge of On’s blog and MySpace site. A lifelong Pacific Northwesterner, Nowacki is a graduate of Central Washington University, where she received a bachelor’s degree in journalism. She previously worked as lifestyles editor for the Argus Observer in Ontario, OR, and as an intern at Willamette Week in Portland, OR. She enjoys rock shows, quirky movies, dabbles in photography and is a volunteer for Burning Man’s media team.
