About Jason Kolnos
KOLNOS, JASON began his writing career with the Cape Cod Times while a freelancer in high school in 1997. Kolnos’ college experience at Boston University took him to places like England, Greece, Italy and Egypt—working at publications from the Daily Free Press in Boston to the Independent in London. After college Kolnos returned to the Cape Cod Times to hone his skills. He spent three years covering the towns of Harwich and Orleans, focusing on everything from municipal government to coastal issues and education. These sleepy towns often turned into the wackiest, as my adventures sometimes swirled around inappropriate topiaries, kidnapped rocks and people getting chased with ray guns. Earlier this year, Kolnos jumped at the chance to produce multimedia. A lover of doing anything computer related, he has had a blast learning editing programs and shooting techniques, but he is just getting his feet wet. Kolnos would describe himself as an enthusiastic fellow with a thirst for adventures, fun times and good laughs. He loves anything outdoors—kayaking, hiking, beach exploring--, reading, listening to music, nighttime TV, movies, Texas Hold-em and playing board games. And he melts in the presence of baby animals.
