About Laura Bischoff

BISCHOFF, LAURA is a statehouse bureau reporter for the Dayton Daily News, a 140,000-circulation newspaper in Dayton, OH. As one of two reporters in the capitol bureau, Bischoff covers the legislature when it’s in session, the politicians when they’re running, and the bureaucrats when they screw up. She recently started blogging and shooting and editing videos for daytondailynews.com. Bischoff is a native of metropolitan Detroit and a graduate of the University of Michigan. Her first full-time newspaper job was at the Flint Journal in Flint, MI, where she covered city and county government. She joined the Dayton Daily News in 1995 and moved to the Columbus bureau in 2001. She likes running and biking and hanging out with her husband and their two sons, ages eight and ten.
